How the calculation works
Total fees = price × (commission % + payment %) ÷ 100 + fixed fee. Profit per order = price − total fees − item cost − your shipping and packaging. Margin = profit ÷ price.
For example, a 100 order with commission 10%, payment fee 5%, a fixed fee of 5, item cost 40 and shipping 10 has fees of 20 and profit of 30, a margin of 30%.
Break-even price
The break-even price is the lowest price at which the order makes no loss: (item cost + shipping + fixed fee) ÷ (1 − total fee percentage). Pricing at or below it loses money on every order. In the example above it is 55 ÷ 0.85 = 64.71.
Why you enter the rates yourself
Marketplaces change their fees and charge different rates by category, country and seller plan. We do not guess them. Copy the current figures from your seller dashboard or the marketplace fee page, and check them again when they change.
What this does not include
Returns, refunds, taxes, currency conversion, storage and advertising are left out. For ad spend use the ROAS Calculator; for margin versus markup use the Margin Calculator.

If margins are tight, a stronger listing can lift conversion without cutting price. Try the Product Description Generator.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my marketplace fee rates?
In your seller account or on the marketplace fee page. Rates vary by category, country and plan, so use the ones that apply to you.
Do fees apply to shipping charged to the buyer?
On some platforms they do. If so, add the shipping you charge into the selling price field so fees are calculated on the right total.
What if the percentage fees add up to 100% or more?
Then no price can cover the costs and the break-even price shows as unavailable. Check the rates you entered.
Is my data saved?
